Today we worked in our math partnerships to solve a hockey problem. Our problem asked us to determine whether my brother was correct when he says he mostly scores 11 points in his hockey games. We found out that he was incorrect! We also discovered how to calculate the 'mode' for a set of data. The mode represents the value that appears most frequently in a data set!
We have just finished exploring how to create different scales on bar graphs, and how these scales can affect our interpretation of data. We've had many interesting conversations during our math block about this learning. Check out our current thinking on our Math Wall!
